"There is no chance, no destiny, no fate, that can hinder the firm resolve of a determined soul." -Ella Wheeler Wilcox-
Steadfast Definition: Firmly fixed, immovable. Firm in belief, determination, or adherence. -Marriam Webster Dictionary-
Being loyal to our principles and values is what enables us to maintain a steadfast approach in achieving our goals. When we compromise our principles or values, the pathway toward our goal becomes foggy, perhaps less attainable; however, when we have a clear understanding of what our principles/values are, we can be steadfast in our overall vision and goal. Being steadfast allows us to circumvent the weather along the way with clarity, address obstacles, and make the appropriate changes toward reaching our goal.
So, what are your values? What are your principles? These two questions deserve some thought. It's our values/principles which are the core of our motivation. When we make decisions and take actions which conflict with our values/principles, we begin to feel disconnected from who we truly are. It just doesn't feel good, when we don't feel good, we lower our energetic levels to an unproductive space and possibly abandon our goal.
Find a place, where you have little to no distraction, write down all of your values and principles. Take the time you need, if there are some values/principles that you would like to adopt, write those down. When you are satisfied with what you have written, begin to narrow down your top ten values/principles. You're not dismissing the other values, but more so identifying the values/principles that you mostly energetically connect with. It is these values/principles which are the fuel for core of your motivation.
