Staying In The Moment
What does intention mean to you? Dr. Dwayne Dyer from the book "The Power of Intention," describes intention as "infinite potential activating your physical and nonphysical appearance on Earth. " This description of intention really resonates with me, as that intention within itself is limitless, which is very powerful. So, how does intention enable us to be more present, stay in the moment?
Intention allows us to tap into who it is that we want to be, raising energy from our deepest core, and expressing ourselves with acceptance, and complete non-judgment; this allows us to be in the most important moment in our lives, the present. One of my intentions, for example is to connect with people on a deeper level with unconditional love, to raise awareness, and provoke thought leading toward creating highly effective paradigms. We can set intentions on how we would like to feel by adopting some foundational principles to live by, for example gratitude, love, humility, forgiveness, humor. The following are some concepts to help engage in living with intention.
More often than not, we have the tendency to get in our own way, blocking us from accessing the powerful creative process of setting intention. Start by giving yourself permission, be kind to yourself, release doubt, and accept that you are already whole. This allows us to raise our energy to a place of non-judgment, allowing us to truly feel, not manufacture, but truly feel an internal peace, and this moment is only captured in the present. When we feel this internal peace, we actually begin to bring more happiness in our lives, enabling us to sort through the deceptive clutter and identifying what really matters.
Self-talk is essential in setting intent, we all have a scrolling dialogue of thought. In these thoughts our inner critic lingers, especially when it comes to setting intent with something new in your life. When we think scarcity, challenge the thought with abundance, when we think self-doubt, challenge the thought with opportunity; the idea is to shift your energy level at the core, giving strength toward what it is that you are actually seeking.
Remember, intention is limitless, we all harness this amazing power, and this is your amazing life, live it as the best versioin of yourself.
