Living vs Existing

How is life meant to be lived?
Why do we feel as though there is never enough time to truly connect to a happier living? Has the "daily grind" pushed us so deep in a rut, that it seems impossible to see opportunities? Perhaps we may be remaining in a career that we are unsatisfied with, or maybe our home lives are out of balance, creating a distance from what places joyful meaning in our lives. The fact is you did it, you did what you were supposed to do, you followed all the rules, and yet there seems to be a disconnect, a void to what happiness is. The further we are from engaging in what is meaningful in our lives, we step into a world of just existing. So, how do we step back into living?
Sometimes we build tolerances masked in fear, which give us the illusion of feeling safe; however, fear creates this myth, and prevents us from living as the best version of ourselves. So, lets start with putting life in perspective, and learn to lean into our fears. I personally reflect on death, not in a morbid sense, but more so in knowing that the last person I want to see on my dying day, is the person I could have been. This perspective sets the tone in addressing what it is that you truly want, and how you are living in the present moment; it is the present moment which is our most important moment. When we focus on what it is that we want to do, not on what we should do, we begin to redefine what success is.
Happiness is in the present, it is something we create, and is unique to every individual. How would you feel to have more happiness now rather than chasing it? Purpose is the fuel, this is the motivator passionately driving us where we want to go. What triggers your purpose? The amazing thing is that purpose can be anything you like it to be, it is what pulls at your spirit, enabling you to connect to a more joyful life; purpose in career, in family life, in recreation, whatever you choose it to be. When we have this level of meaning in our life, we become fully engaged, letting go of what no longer serves us, and living to our fullest potential in our present moment.
This is your amazing unique life, honor who you are, trust yourself, value your worth, and ask yourself when fear sets in "what am risking"; always remember success is in the journey, not the outcome.
